pastime-4-min-min

For those who need a bit of action, there are many trekking routes to suit the capability of the novice or the expert. Less adventurous but thoroughly exhilarating, flying a kite at Panchalimedu lets you rediscover the child in you.

All the Trekking is a popular outdoor activity that involves hiking, walking over long distances, and typically through natural and often rugged terrain, such as mountains, forests, and wilderness areas. It is a form of adventure travel and outdoor exploration, allowing individuals to connect with nature, challenge themselves physically, and experience stunning landscapes.

The best time for trekking in Idukki is during the post-monsoon and winter months, from September to March, when the weather is pleasant, and the landscapes are lush and vibrant. And while some trekkers prefer to explore independently, guided trekking tours are available and recommended for those unfamiliar with the area. Experienced local guides can provide valuable insights and ensure safety.

Best time for trekking 7:00 am – 10:00 am, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
